time-lapse camera rig

You can't pick and choose the location of a commercial time-lapse shoot. It's dictated by the project to be filmed and can often be in a position that makes it awkward to get a good view of the work.

We manufacture bespoke time-lapse camera rigs in order to tailor each set-up to the requirements of the job. Sometimes that calls for improvisation.

The above image was from a demolition project in Burnley, where we had to locate the camera on the roof of a nearby Tesco Express. There were no hand-rails to clamp to and drilling into the wall was out of the question. The camera also had to reach out far enough away from the building to get the desired shot.

The solution was an elaborate framework of scaffolding poles combined with enough weight to keep the rig from shaking/moving. It was then tied off to add an extra layer of security.

The resulting video was as solid as a rock.
