Time-lapse records

Keeping records of the details of each time-lapse set-up has served us well over the years. Important bits of information to note down are:
- Camera and lens type
- Intervalometer settings (shot intervals)
- Solar panel wattage (for outdoor shoots)
And at each maintenance visit:
- Battery voltages (for offline set-ups)
- Interval changes
- Any fixes that were needed and a brief description
- Amount of footage taken (for offline set-ups)
We can look back at these records, sometimes years later, to help us determine the best approach for current projects.
For instance, if a similar job to a previous one comes in, I can look up the intervals we used, watch the final video back, and then decide whether to use more or less frequent shots.
Here's a bridge replacement video that benefitted from records of previous work.
